The Landing Stage

The first settlements surrounding Verzellotto go back to the fourteenth
century, and were part of the holding ‘Eremo’, owned by religious
orders. The current building, in ‘closed court’ style, goes back to the
nineteenth century, while the current arrangement, even though keeping
unchanged the original structure, is of recent building.

Around ‘Corte Verzellotto’ on May 29th, 1848, the battle of ‘Montanara e
Curtatone’ was fought with Tuscan and Piedmontese soldiers
against Austro-Hungarians troups. Inside the court it is situated a
little sacred church, dedicated to S.t Antonio Abate, the patron of animals.

All our lodgins are double rooms, with the bathroom.

The hall where breakfast is served is spacious and it is particularly well suited for cultural, sportive and convivial meetings, as well as video and films projections.
It is also an appropriate space for pleasant readings and television watching.

Near the court there is a big shopping center and a multiroom cinema, where buses come from and go to the center of Mantua.

Inside the court you will find horses, goats and chickens.
